CASCFEN, Baku, 31 Jul 08 – President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has issued a decree to render financial support to country’s mass media.
Under the decree, every daily newspaper and information agency will be granted AZN 5,000 (EUR4,000 or USD6,200). The list includes eight information agencies and 30 newspapers (Trend).
The Finance Ministry is trusted to grant the funds.
