AzerTAg, Baku, 02 Sep 2008 – The 30th OANA Executive Board Meeting “News for Everybody in the Globalizing World” organized by the AzerTAg has started Tuesday in Baku.
The meeting is attended by OANA President, ANTARA CEO Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf, heads and top representatives of national news agencies from 21 countries. It also gathered Wolfgang Vyslozil, EANA President, CEO of the Austrian news agency APA, heads of national news agencies of Bulgaria, France and Jordan.
Aslan Aslanov, AzerTAg Director General, assessed this event as another indicator of Azerbaijan’s growing international prestige and AzerTAg’s integration into the global news community. He also briefed in detail on the history and current activity of AzerTAc, as well as governmental care for media in the country.
Afterwards, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s message of congratulation was read out at the event.
Addressing the meeting were OANA and EANA presidents, Elnur Aslanov, Head of the Azerbaijan President Office`s Department on Political Analysis and Information Provision, first Deputy Director General of ITAR-TASS Mikhail Gusman and others.
