NANSMIT, Dushanbe, 04 Sep 2008 – The former employee of radio “Freedom” (RFE/RL) Kholiki Sanguin is restored on a former place of work by the decision of capital court of area Ismoil Somoni from August, 28th, 2008. Also according to the court decision, the Tajik service of radio “Freedom” should pay to the journalist the salary during the compelled prorumble.
According to Kholiki Sanguin on the basis of the facts presented to him, the court recognised as illegal the decision of a management of the Tajik service of radio “Freedom” on cancellation of the labour contract. The decision has not entered yet validity, and in case of disagreement, the parties can make cassation complaints.
It is necessary to notice, that litigation has begun since November, 2007. In claim statement of Kholiki Sanguin has been noticed, that radio “Freedom” has illegally terminated with him the labour contract. In the claim statement the journalist also has demanded from radio “Freedom” compensation of moral damage at a rate of 50 thousand dollars.
