Baku, CASCFEN, 29.08.2016 – Central Asian and Southern Caucasian Freedom of Expression Network (CASCFEN) has conducted the last seminar on the framework of the project on “Online freedom of expression culture for the groups of different categories”.
This seminar which was possible due to financial support of NGO Council has been conducted in the International Eurasia Press Fund`s premises as well.
Azer Hasret, a Chairman of CASCFEN opening the event has thanked Azerbaijan Government, NGO Council and International Eurasia Press Fund and its Chairman Umud Rahimoglu for their generous support. The very seminar, which was conducted under the slogan “With support of Azerbaijani Government”, was interesting and dynamic as well.
The participants initially have listened to the speech of Dr. Nushabe Huseynli, an expert of the project, Space TV editor, who spoke on the rules of conduct on online realm. She especially stressed out importance of some points of conduct while being online. Useful discussion environment was seen as participants made involvement and acted with questions as well. Teachers, students, journalists and NGO activists have talked about their experience and initiated deeper discussions.
Afterwards one more expert of the project, correspondent of “Kaspi” daily and CASCFEN Board member Lale Musaqizi continued the topic and noted out some examples. She especially stressed out that users can face different situations online and in this case they need to be careful and tolerant. Expert said that those users – netizens, who can`t control their nerves always face problems.
Afterwards Azer Hasret, CASCFEN chairman concluding the seminar explained 10 golden rules of netiquette and spoke on responsibility caused as a result of its violation.
At the end of the seminar, certificates were submitted to participants.
